Setting my tea table: Korea inspired edition 🍵🇰🇷 In Korea, I learned how the tea table isn’t just a setting — it’s a reflection of how we experience tea, mindfulness, and beauty. I was deeply inspired and enriched by the @tea41_club exhibition in Hadong, which encouraged me to explore my own tea language and way of serving. For me, that means blending elements from Korea with the essence of where I was born and raised. My tea table becomes a meeting point: Korean ceramics alongside wooden coasters made by my dad, Hanji paper or traditional Korean fabrics paired with wooden trays handmade in the Western Alps. I add flowers and wild plants from the woods near my home, and of course, Korean tea I personally sourced. Today, I used some of my favorite ceramics, carefully brought back from Hadong and Seoul, a plate made from flower Hanji paper (I created it during one of my influencer programs, film ed by Korean national TV 🤭), and traditional Korean snacks: techu chips (jujube), dried mandarin, and yakgwa (honey biscuits). My dear tea sister @gajung.dasil in Korea taught me this beautiful way of pairing tea with snacks, and I’ve kept the tradition alive here in Italy, especially during garden tea tastings, where the nature on the table mirrors the nature around it. I rarely have Korean snacks at hand, but I hope that changes soon. For now, I’ll simply enjoy the calm beauty of this tea table. What elements would you include on your dream tea table? I’d love to hear about your rituals or traditions in the comments.
